Daniel Agger and Brendan Rodgers today visited the statue of John Harvard and did what all good tourists do - they touched his left foot for luck.
The statue, located in the Old Yard outside University Hall where the Reds team are training whilst in Boston, is eight years older than Liverpool Football Club itself and it’s tradition for visitors to touch the shiny left foot to bring them luck in life.
Agger and Rodgers were accompanied to the statue by Christine Heenan, Harvard Vice President for Public Affairs & Communications, and once there the pair posed for photos and handed over a Liverpool scarf. In return, as a memento of their stay in Boston, Agger and Rodgers were presented with Harvard caps and t-shirts and a copy of the book, Explore Harvard: The Yard and Beyond. {x}
